Our beliefs are firmly rooted in God's Word and represent the foundational beliefs of Christianity.
We believe the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. These Testaments reveal the will of God for all Christian Faith and life.
2 Tim. 3:15-17 | Heb. 4:12-13
We believe in one God, creator of all things, who is perfect and eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Matt. 28:19-20 | 1 John 5:7 | John 1:1, 14
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. He is true God and true man. He was crucified, being made sin for us. He died and descended into Hell paying the penalty for man’s sin, was made alive or ‘justified in Spirit’, and arose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven with His own blood and obtained an eternal redemption for us now being at the right hand of the Father God as our High Priest and Advocate.
John 1:1, 14; 2 Cor. 5:21 | 1 Tim. 3:16 | Heb. 9:12 | I John 2:1
We believe man was created in the image of God but fell into sin through disobedience and therefore must be born-again. This new birth takes place through accepting by faith that which the Word sets forth concerning Christ and His provision for salvation and confessing with the mouth Jesus as personal Lord and Savior. This salvation not only provides for remission and forgiveness of sins, but also for physical healing and prosperity as well. Our lives will be healthy and prosperous as we live in the light of our redemption with faith in God’s Word. This salvation has been bought by the shed blood of Jesus our Lord.
Gen. 1:26 | John 3:16 | Rom. 10:9-10 | Isaiah 53 | 3 John 2
We believe water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the church until Christ returns. The laying on of hands and anointing with oil are scriptural practices for the present day New Testament church.
Matt. 28:19-20 | 1 Cor. 11:24-30 | Mark 16:18 | James 5:14-16
We believe in being “filled with the Spirit,” an experience subsequent to, and distinct from the New Birth. This experience is available to all believers today. It is the will of God as taught in the New Testament for every child of God to be filled with the Spirit and speak in unknown tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. “Tongues” are the initial physical evidence of being filled with the Spirit. When one is filled with the Spirit, they have received divine ability to witness and fulfill God’s plan for their life.
Acts 1:8, 2:4 | John 7:37-39 | Acts 2:38, 39
We believe Jesus is Lord and head of the church, His body, of which everyone who is born again is a part. Every local church under Christ has the right to decide and govern its own affairs. The Pastor is set by God in the local church as its head under Christ.
Eph. 1:22 | 1 Cor 12:12-13 | 1 Peter 5:1-4
We believe the catching away (rapture) of the saints by our Lord into heaven prior to the tribulation, from which the Lord shall return to the earth with His saints to reign and rule for a period of one thousand years (the millennium). After this there will be a new Heaven and a new earth.
1 Thess. 4:16-18 | Rev. 20:6 | Rev. 21
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all dead. The unbeliever to everlasting conscious punishment in the lake of fire. For the Believer there will be everlasting conscious joy and blessing in the presence of the Lord. Rev. 20:10-15 | Isaiah 66:24 | 1 Thess. 4:13-18 | Rev. 22:1-5
